*CONTRIBUTION RULES & DISCLOSURES
Contribution Limits — The Florida Department of State’s Division of Elections limits contributions to $1,000 per individual or business entity, per election. (The primary and general elections are considered separate.) Any individual who contributes up to $1,000 may also contribute up to $1,000 from their business, provided the address and other pertinent information match that of said business (i.e., the contribution is drawn on an account or check that represents funds of the business).
Donor Information — Florida law requires campaigns to collect and report the full name, mailing address, specific occupation (or principal type of business), and employer name for all types of donors in the election cycle.
Tax Status — Contributions to the Campaign for Brian McBroom for Walton County Tax Collector are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
